How to file for unemployment in Maryland
Methods for Filing a Weekly Claim Certification to Request Benefit Payment for Maryland Unemployment
– Go to Maryland unemployment website https://beacon.labor.md.gov/claimant portal
– Login and Choose “Claim Certification”
– Go through the instruction shown on the screen to proceed or call the IVR at 410-949-0022 (if calling from the Baltimore area or
out-of-state) or at 800-827-4839 (if calling from Maryland, but outside of the Baltimore area).
File claim certification on Sunday from 12:01 am till Saturday 11:59 pm, if you file by Saturday at 11:59 pm your benefit payments may be delayed or denied, Ensure you check carefully before you submit your claim certification, a confirmation number will be sent to you that should be kept for records.
