Payment Schedule
The third round of Economic Impact Payments are being sent in phases, you can click on HERE to know more.
Every week IRS are transferring the third round of Economic Impact Payments to qualified individuals as IRS proceed to take step to tax returns. If individuals haven’t gotten a payment yet, it doesn’t mean individuals won’t.
Payments are transfer by direct deposit or mail as a check or debit card, you can check more about the card HERE.
mailing IRS Notice 1444-C will be sent to people who received a third Economic Impact Payment.
Plus-Up Payments
Plus-up payments are additional payments that will sent to individuals who:
- Already accepted a third Economic Impact Payment based on a 2019 tax return or information accepted from SSA, RRB or VA
- May be qualified for a larger amount depend on their 2020 tax return
It will be automatically evaluate individual eligibility for a plus-up payment using their 2020 return.
The IRS is working with federal agencies to get updated information for individuals to make sure you are been send automatic payments to as many people as possible. Amount and Status of Your Payment
To check the amount of the third payment, create or view your online account by clicking HERE or refer to IRS Notice 1444-C, which they mailed after sending the payment.
If you received a plus-up Economic Impact Payment after your 2020 tax return is processed:
- The amount of your initial third payment will no longer appear in your online account. Individual will only see the amount of their plus-up payment.
- The status of your initial third payment will no longer appear in Get My Payment. You will only view the status of your plus-up payment.
Status Messages
You’ll find one of these messages when you make use of your Get My Payment:
Payment Status
- Individual payment has been plan and it will be sent on the date shown by direct deposit or mail. If individual payment is by mail, you will get a debit card or a check. The amount of individual third Economic Impact Payment is not shown.

- You’re qualified , but a payment has not been processed and a payment date isn’t available yet.
Payment Status Not Available
You are unable to view your payment status because:
- Your payment has not been processed yet.

Need More Information
- Your return was processed. We don’t have account information present for you and your payment has not been issued yet.

- The Postal Service was unable to deliver the third Economic Impact Payment and returned it to the IRS.

First and Second Payment Status
The first and second Economic Impact Payments no longer Show in Get My Payment.
To check the amounts of these payments, view or create your online account by clicking HERE. You can also send to Notice 1444 for the first payment and Notice 1444-B for the second payment. The IRS mailed these notices to individual address of record.
Didn’t Get the First and Second Payments? Claim the 2020 Recovery Rebate Credit.
If you didn’t receive a first and second Economic Impact Payment or got litt;e than the full amount, you may be qualified to claim the 2020 Recovery Rebate Credit and must file a 2020 tax return, even if individual aren’t required to file.
The third Economic Impact Payment will not be required to calculate the 2020 Recovery Rebate Credit
