The Social Dilemma:  is a 2020 American docudrama film that was directed by Jeff Orlowski and was written by Orlowski, Davis Coombe, and Vickie Curtis. It moves into depth on how social media’s design is meant to nurture an addiction, operate on people and governments, and spread conspiracy theories and disinformation.

The film also inspects the issue of social media’s effect on mental health (together with the mental health of adolescents and moving teen suicide rates).

This documentary-drama composite considers the dangerous human impact of social networking, with tech professionals sounding the alarm on their own creations.

 

 

Storyline Of The Social Dilemma

Set in the dark underbelly of Silicon Valley, The Social Dilemma fuses explore documentary with informing narrative drama. Expert testimony from tech whistle-blowers open up our disturbing predicament: the services of Big Tech renders search engines, networks, instant information, etc.-are merely the candy that tempts us to bite. Immediately we’re hooked and coming back for more, the real object they sell is their prowess to intimidate and manipulate us.
