Scan in person
- Access your WhatsApp > then tap on More options
> then tap on Settings. - Click the QR icon shown next to your name.
- Click SCAN CODE.
- Hold your device over the QR code to scan.
- Click on ADD.
The individual can also scan from the WhatsApp camera:
- Access your WhatsApp > then click on Camera

Scan from Gallery
- Access your WhatsApp > then click on More options
>then click Settings. - Click on the QR icon shown next to your name.
- Click on SCAN CODE.
- Click the Gallery icon on the bottom of the screen.
- Select the WhatsApp QR code from your Gallery or tap More
> Photos to select from your Photos. - Tap OK.
- Tap ADD.
Scan from the New Contact screen
- Access your WhatsApp > then click on New chat
. - Click on the QR icon close to New contact.
- Click on SCAN CODE.
- Click on ADD.
Scan from WhatsApp camera
- Access your WhatsApp > then click on Camera
. - Choose the image with the QR code to scan.
- Click on ADD.
Scan within a chat
- Access your WhatsApp and move to an individual or group chat.
- Click the camera icon.
- Choose the image with the QR code to scan.
- Click on ADD.
